Fraudsters impersonated NIA officers via WhatsApp video calls, presented a fabricated arrest warrant, and coerced a 46-year-old victim into transferring ₹3.2 lakh under threat of immediate arrest. They used the company MD's identity and photo (scraped from social media) to add credibility, and promised the money would be held by RBI for "verification" and returned within 24 hours.
