A 56-year-old Mumbai woman searching for patriotic songs clicked the link; her phone switched off immediately after, and she later found unauthorized transactions totaling Rs 44,560 debited from her account. Cybercrime authorities are investigating. Scammers are increasingly timing phishing sites to high-traffic cultural and national events to lure victims.
